Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Signalpad (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the signalpad.app website and the Signalpad platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., GitHub, Google), we receive your profile information from that provider.
Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser type, and IP address.
End-User Interaction Data. When you integrate the Signalpad widget into your product, we collect anonymized interaction events from your end-users (e.g., update views, widget clicks, flow completions, tracked events). We do not collect personally identifiable information from your end-users unless you explicitly pass it via the SDK using the identify() method.
Payment Information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
Communications. If you contact us by email or through the product, we retain the content of your message and your contact details to respond and for record-keeping.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process transactions and send billing-related communications
- Send administrative messages, security alerts, and Service updates
- Respond to customer support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve features and user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, and fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery), bound by confidentiality agreements
- Analytics providers — aggregated, anonymized usage data to understand product performance
- Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Signalpad or others
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Anonymized end-user event data is retained for up to 24 months to power your analytics dashboards. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@signalpad.app.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@signalpad.app. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain sessions and authentication. We may use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Our in-app widget may set a first-party cookie in your users’ browsers to maintain session state and unread counts; this is disclosed in our widget documentation for your privacy policy use.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
